Hi. I’m Dr John Griffiths, the lead tutor and owner of SciExcel Tuition. I offer professional, high quality private and small group on-line tuition in A-Level Chemistry (AQA, OCR and Edexcel). I have a BSc, MSc and PhD in Chemistry and have over thirty five years’ experience in analytical science. After training and working at Altrincham grammar school for girls, I gained Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a PGCE from Manchester University. I am also a Chartered Scientist (CSci), Chartered Chemist (CChem) and a Member of the Royal Society of Chemistry (MRSC).

As a STEM ambassador, I have worked with young people of secondary school age (Year 7 to 6th Form), and have a 16-year-old son and 19-year-old daughter of my own. I have a current Enhanced DBS certificate, which is available for inspection as required.
